Scaling and Root Planing
Scaling and Root Planing is a non-surgical, deep cleaning to remove plaque and tartar (hardened plaque) from above and below the gum line.
After the scaling procedure, the dentist will then begin root planing, smoothing out your teeth roots to help your gums reattach to your teeth. Scaling and Root Planing may take more than one session to complete. Local anesthetic may be required as well.
It is recommended to visit our dentists for an initial consultation to assess your oral health and our dentists can suggest which procedure or treatments you need.
